Boston Marathon Training: 10 Weeks Till Race Day

This week was hard AF! Not going to glamorize the workouts one bit but I’m proud I stuck it out. Living on a 250ft hill makes me grateful for the opportunity to grow and push my limits which ONLY make me stronger in the end.

Mon, 2/10/20: Rest Day

Tues, 2/11/20: 5 mile recovery run with 5x20sec strides

  • Stride splits: 5:17, 5:15, 5:06, 5:15, 5:45

  • Total miles: 5.57mi at 9:08/mi

Wed, 2/12/20: 8 Miles Hill Repeats 5 x 0.50mi @ MP effort,

  • Intervals: 9:27, 10:32, 9:23, 12:20, 9:48

  • Total miles: 8.25mi at 9:58/mi

Thurs, 2/13/20: 5 mile recovery run with 5x20sec strides

  • Stride splits: 4:48, 4:38, 4:39, 5:01, 5:38

  • Total miles: 5.59 mi at 9:26/mi

Fri, 2/14/20: 7 Steady State Miles (8-7:45/mi)

  • Splits: 7:53, 7:24, 7:39, 7:38, 7:41, 7:40, 7:37

  • Total miles: 7:02 mi at 7:39/mi

Sat, 2/15/20: 16 Mile Long Run
